Our Club

The Cortland Conservation Club was founded as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization in 1944 upon the southeast shore of the newly constructed Mosquito Creek Lake. Since this time, our member’s have enjoyed family friendly club activities, exceptional facilities and unsurpassed lake access.

Our Lakeshore

Our Activities – Our club is available year round and we host many club activities. Some activities include: club picnics (fish fry, sausage fry and corn roast), holiday gatherings (Christmas and Easter events) and sailboat racing (Monday night jib and main fleet).

Our Land – Our secured and safe (gated) lakeshore property is comprised of approximately 5 acres. The majority of our property is club owned, though our access to the lake is granted by the Army Corp of Engineers, through a long-term lease.

Boating – Recreational boating is a large part of our club.  Our facility features both docks and moorings in a well protected cove. Many of our member’s dry sail their boats from our facility. A year-round boat storage area is available.  Transient docks are also available to our members for overnight stays.

Camping – Our club maintains several camping locations (free of charge and granted on a first-come-first-served basis). All of our sites feature both electric and water.
